Café Manager - Blue Roan Café (Roanie’s)


LBEMG is seeking to fill a full-time position of Café Manager to oversee the LBEMG coffee shop, Roanie’s Café. Roanie’s offers a unique Café experience and is part of a large and small animal veterinary practice where the love and health of animals is our mission. Our goal is to provide a warm and happy café experience while also sharing a love for our furry friends.

The Café Manager will support the café operations and assist with overseeing all key processes such as customer experience, supervising hourly associates, inventory management, financial reporting and creation of store goals and promotions to increase client volume and frequency.

This is a fulltime, on-site position.

Key Functions:

  • Engage customers to improve the overall customer experience and built a loyal customer base.
  • Train and coach associates to successful customer service delivery and communicate performance targets, store goals, motivate team through engagement activities.
  • Monitors inventory levels and communicates with vendors to maintain business relationships and secure competitive pricing.
  • Complete financial reporting with support of management, administrative tasks and payroll activities.
  • Grow customer base and increase store traffic with Marketing support by creating and leading promotions within and outside the store as well as maintaining functional, efficient, pleasant store environment and high-quality food and beverage offerings.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly P&L data and works to increase bottom-line profits.
  • Ensure that all company and store standards, guidelines, health & safety and procedures are communicated and followed by staff at all times.
  • Ensure store appearance is always maintained and clean, including café seating area.
  • Ensure proper equipment functionality and oversee completion of regular equipment maintenance. Problem solves equipment issues in timely way.
  • Coach on speed of service and organizes employees to maintain the most efficient floorplan and deployment for serving customers.
  • Oversee the reporting of financial performance providing insight into business objectives and targets.

Requirements:

Skill Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of management experience in food and beverage industry.
  • Certified Barista and or willing to attain.
  • Food handler's license.
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
