As a High School Business and Technology Teacher:

This position requires a valid Michigan (secondary) teaching certificate. We will work with individuals that do not possess a Michigan Teaching Certificate but have a Bachelor's Degree in business/technology or a related field for certification. Consider applying for the position if you have experience in Consumer Sciences, business, and/or technology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate required with an endorsement in GQ, or KH strongly preferred. • Ability to teach courses in Marketing, Technology, and Personal Finance. • Ability to teach computer literacy • Knowledgeable about digital citizenship, digital tools, keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, research, web-based tools, and programming • Demonstrated experience in building positive relationships with students • Understands how to design and deliver engaging project-based technology instruction • Ability to use data to inform classroom instruction • Understands how to integrate literacy into technology instruction • Ability to motivate and engage high school students • Willing to accept responsibility for student learning • Understands the importance of nurturing and growing student curiosity, exploration and creativity • Willing to teach a lesson as part of the interview process
