Description: Summary:
US Cargo Systems is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across commercial and military aviation sectors. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with a proven track record in new business development, strategic selling, and complex deal closure.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Aggressively prospect and qualify new leads in OEM and AFM segments
Engage early in customer procurement cycles
Analyze target markets and identify high-value opportunities
Sales Cycle Management:
Lead end-to-end sales process from prospecting to deal closure
Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs with strategic positioning
Negotiate and close profitable deals aligned with company goals
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with clients
Leverage networks to gain early access to opportunities
Pipeline & Forecasting:
Maintain a robust pipeline with 3–5x coverage of annual sales targets
Provide accurate sales forecasts and activity reports
Track opportunities through CRM and sales funnel
Market Intelligence & Brand Representation:
Analyze industry trends and competitor activity
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
Support marketing and lead generation initiatives
Requirements: Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Business preferred)
5–10 years of proven sales hunting success
Experience in aerospace, industrial, or technical markets (preferred)
A fearless, competitive mindset with a history of exceeding quotas
Mastery in prospecting, consultative selling, and complex deal negotiation
Strong CRM and Microsoft Office skills
Willingness to travel up to 70% to chase and close opportunities
Performance Expectations:
Travel Requirement: 60-70% domestic and international travel
Revenue Target: Achieve or exceed annual new business development goals
Pipeline Metrics: Maintain a minimum 3x pipeline coverage with quality opportunities
Activity Metrics: Meet or exceed targets for prospect contacts, meetings, and proposals
Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction
