The Position
The Business Development Manager's objectives are to proactively contact clients and prospects to identify new business opportunities. They will be expected to grow the sales and the profitability within their allocated region, or industry portfolio. In addition, they will be responsible for starting the sales process and managing RFQ’s (Request For Quotation). They will regularly meet with clients, face to face, by video call or by simple phone contact, to provide and educate the customer on the Trescal organization and our capabilities.
Reporting
This position reports to the Regional Sales Director
Essential Duties/Areas of Responsibility
Regularly liaising with existing clients to identify new business opportunities
The primary focal point of this position is to support new business development for the Southern Region
Identifying new opportunities for lab and on-site calibrations, asset management services, validation services, or to extend our existing service
Progressively manage an opportunity pipeline within our CRM platform with existing or new accounts, closing all possible opportunities to achieve a Revenues in line with targets
Ensuring that all clients understand the services on offer from Trescal
Lead RFQ / RFP processes within their portfolio or identified account prospects
Project management of the roll out of new contracts and services
Provide detailed information and reports to the VP Sales on a regular basis
Liaison daily with other members of the sales team and the internal organization to provide information and ensure that customers receive excellent customer service
Advising on changes and trends in the marketplace and the activities of competitors
To undertake tasks and projects as agreed with their manager
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, sales, or related field. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar field preferred
Knowledge of the Calibration & Testing market would be a distinct advantage
Previous Experience within the Aerospace, Life Sciences, or Electronic Manufacturing industries is strongly preferred
Must have excellent analytical, organizational and verbal skills, as well as written persuasion and presentation skills, and be detail orientated
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point is essential
Previous experience of working with a CRM platform would be an advantage
Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with all internal departments
