Position Summary Knobelsdorff is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive our data center vertical and expand our footprint in small to mid-sized mission critical projects. This is a strategic, high-impact role for a business-minded professional who thrives in building relationships with owners, developers, EPCs, and general contractorsand understands how to bring electrical and infrastructure solutions into early-stage project planning. Youll own client development from initial contact through project pursuitworking with engineering firms, construction leaders, and end-users to position KE as the go-to partner for electrical and utility systems that power mission critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Drive business growth in the 515MW data center space, focusing on private developers, colos, and enterprise clients. Cultivate new client relationships with data center operators, design-build firms, and GCs. Lead early project conversations around electrical infrastructure, medium voltage systems, and design-build scope alignment. Partner with engineering and estimating teams to develop tailored solutions during RFP/RFQ stages. Influence early planning decisions around site selection, scalability, and delivery strategy. Represent KE at key industry conferences Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and executive briefings. Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM tools and reporting metrics. Identify and track trends in the data center and mission critical industries to support strategic growth initiatives. Qualifications 5+ years of business development experience in construction data center infrastructure. Strong network within the data center ecosystem: hyperscalers, colos, EPCs, and GCs. Familiarity with electrical scope for mission critical environments (medium voltage, distribution, UPS/generators, etc.). Strong grasp of the design-build project delivery method and proposal strategy. Ability to translate technical solutions into client value and long-term partnership. Confident communicator with C-level executives, developers, and design partners. Highly organized with strong follow-up, reporting, and CRM tracking skills. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, or Business preferred.
