Salary: TheMid-LevelBusiness Development Coordinator will provide support to our business development team performing market research and analysis, opportunity identification, analysis and tracking, competitor and partner analysis and outreach, pipeline management and reporting and proposal and capture support for new bid opportunities. This individual should be familiar with the business development life cycle and have similar experience working for a federally focused professional services and/or information technology company.
Responsibilities : Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer supporting Akiaks business developmentobjectives. Perform intelligence,researchand capture activities for identifying new bid opportunities especially socio-economic set-aside opportunities (8(a), HUBZone, Tribal) Monitor pipeline input sources such as GovWin, GovTribe, eBuy, SAM.gov and update business development team on prospective opportunities. Manage and maintain business development pipelines to ensure the pipeline is current and accurate. Provide regular updates and reports Collaborate with business development team regarding teaming and government/industry outreach. Collaborate with business development team to create opportunity/gate reviews and other capture documents and artifacts for opportunities. Generate agendas and weekly notes for business development team meetings. Support ongoing proposal efforts working with proposal staff on Request for Proposals Sources Sought and Capability Statement requests from Government and industry. Must be able to operate independently and apply experience in pursuit of new business. Perform other duties as assigned (Marketing, Social Media, Industry Day attendance, etc) Knowledge/Skills required by the position: Strong analytical and research skills. Familiarity with federal contracting databases (SAM.gov, FPDS, GovWin, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools. Ability to summarize and present findings in a clear, actionable manner. Must be able to operate independently and apply experience in pursuit of new business. Knowledgeable of the Business Development Lifecycle, Government Acquisition Lifecycle and Proposal Development processes. Located within the DC/Maryland/Northern Virginia area is preferable. Tribal Relationships: The employee will be exposed to activity involving tribal communities. Responsible for adopting a culture of advocacy while protecting tribal interests. Must be respectful and sensitive to the unique sovereignty and tribal governance issues.
Supervisory Controls: This position reports directly to the President, who provides administrative direction. The employee independently plans and executes work, while keeping the Company leadership team informed on progress through periodic informal briefings. May be subject to company revenue and customer service goals.
Supervisor or Manager Responsibilities: Non-Supervisory (General): This position works in an environment that includes supervisory oversight of general assignments.
Physical Demands: Work is primarily indoors in an office setting. No unusual physical activity is required. You may travel to Alaska, and in doing so will expose the employee to extreme cold: temperatures typically -10 up to -50 degrees below freezing wind chill for periods of up to 5 hours outside, with frequent breaks in warm dry areas. Employee must be able to lift their personal luggage and any personal equipment/supplies and climb into and out of small planes with confined spaces.
Writing/Communication: The employee may support federal programs under contract. Contract compliance activities, including scope of work, deliverables, and reporting on contract management activities to Company leadership is required. Ability to clearly articulate and provide technical guidance and assistance to senior agency program managers in the application of the advanced principles, practices and techniques of a specialized field of engineering/science.
Teleworking: The company has a hybrid remote policy for all employees and is dependent upon the type of position.This position may be assigned to support a federal contract, or to work in office. The Companys teleworking eligibility may not apply if the employee is supporting a federal services contract. In this instance, the employee may be subject to federal telework policies and may be required to work onsite in the federal facility when requested.
Position Sensitivity and Risk Designation: Moderate Risk The position may support federal or state contracts. When required, the employee must at least go through a basic background check that can yield a public trust designation and to make sure you are reliable, trustworthy, and suitable for the job. Amoderate risk positionis likely to produce a fair amount of harm or serious damage to the publics trust. The agency with whom the contract is with, will ask you for the necessary personal information to start the background investigation process. The amount of information youll need to give depends on the contract award. Following the investigation, the agency will make their trustworthiness determination.
