Position Title: Business Development Associate – Referral Relationships & Strategic Partnerships Reports to: Chief Growth Officer Location: Required to be based in Atlanta Area (hybrid)
Job Scope: The Business Development Associate will focus on attracting and enrolling new patients to Hightop Health clinics by fostering and developing relationships with referring practices in the community (primary care, specialty groups, hospital systems, etc.). Additionally, they will engage with other stakeholders the community (education systems, government-related entities, etc.) to raise awareness on Hightop Health and its services, guiding patients on mental health care coverage options, and developing strategic partnerships.
More specifically, the Business Development Associate will be the primary sales and marketing person responsible for generating leads and building relationships between physicians' offices and Hightop Health clinics to increase the number of patients referred to our clinics for treatment and care. The Provider Referral Representative will be the representative for doctors, medical practices, and bridges the communication gap between referring doctors and Psychiatrists at Hightop Health clinics. This position requires the ability to travel to multiple locations.
Primary Focus and Responsibility
Drive Patient Demand and Referral Networks The Business Development Associate will leverage their expertise to create patient demand generation in existing locations, de novo openings, IOP/PHP programs, and clinical research. Patient Demand Provider Referrals (developing relationships and networks) - driving physician referrals and connecting our facility with the local healthcare community. Face to Face Event Marketing (conferences & events) - Collaborate with Marketing Department to attend community events, leading educational seminars (lunch’n’learns) and engaging in center activations to generate contact lists and work prospective leads. Meeting with local physicians to promote our facility's services. Deploy marketing tactics through several platforms to develop patient lead list and enrollment. Marketing methods can be completed face-to-face, telemarketing, patient referrals, community partnerships, etc. Patient Education - educate the potential patients about services, how to access the services and programs and overall eligibility.
Patient Experience Coordinate center tours for potential patients, particularly with the IOP programs. Provide customer service throughout entire length of care for patient retention. Help leverage the use of patient satisfaction surveys to identify areas for improvement. Work with clinical teams to implement patient education campaigns that demystify the treatment process.
Strategic Partnerships Represent the Hightop Health brand well. Have full knowledge of the company’s services and patient resources. Surveying local primary and specialty physicians to increase the number of patient referrals to the system. Cultivate strong relationships with top strategic referrers to increase patient referrals. Secures participation in community events to generate new patients and brand awareness Create a referral outreach plan to build partnerships with general practitioners, therapists, schools, and insurance companies. Leverage marketing resources to help develop brochures, fact sheets, etc., specifically for referral partners. Schedule regular follow-ups with referral partners to nurture relationships and provide updates.
Promote the Hightop Brand Execute on External Communication Strategies Comply with the marketing goals and philosophies of our clinics. Assist with clinic Grand Openings and other events Arranging and helping to lead public relations campaigns and awareness efforts. Additional opportunities to work on marketing-specific projects will be available, for the right individual.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required Proven experience in sales within the healthcare sector, preferably in healthcare services Knowledge and experience in the behavioral health industry, with a strong understanding of outpatient behavioral health practices and the dynamics of healthcare services businesses Demonstrated success in sales and patient demand generation for outpatient healthcare services Proficiency with CRM systems and a proactive interest in developing and tracking unique metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of referral sources
