Business Analyst
CSL Consulting is seeking an individual with strong analytic and organizational skills looking to work in a dynamic environment. Senior leadership will be responsible for providing key business information and project specific information to allow analytics to be produced.
This position will report to the Senior Director, Finance. The position will have a thorough understanding of the company's systems and processes that manage the tracking of time allocations against company overhead and project responsibilities. The company currently uses SCORO as the platform. This position is responsible for the input & oversight of data inputs into the system to establish sound KPI's, reporting and tracking tools. The position will act in an analyst capacity to senior leadership to ensure that system and data output support leadership's abilities to make sound business decisions and track data accurately.
The position will be based out of Burlington, MA, but will require occasional travel to other CSL locations as needed.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Gather and document business metrics and project specific information related to utilization and time allocations to projects. Analyze and provide recommendations to improve business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and maintain detailed reports, dashboards and other visuals, and Key Performance Indicators for stakeholders including project management personnel and leadership. Generate financial and utilization data to be used in decision making and evaluating the financial health of projects Develop and maintain training documentation on system usage. Provide guidance and training to team members on business analysis and project management best practices as they relate to Key Performance Indicators. Remain up to date on system functionality including attending system-based training and conferences as needed to maintain a high level of system capabilities and features. Assist in the generation of company proposals to clients as it relates to generating "quotes" for new and existing clients. Act in an internal customer facing capacity to provide support and understanding related to KPIs, process control and data reporting. Backup for monthly invoicing process Work as Scoro admin across the organization Collaborate with leadership on staff utilization. Additional responsibilities may include: Create and maintain project metrics, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Interview CSL team members to understand requirements and facilitate strategies sessions to ensure accuracy of project and organizational data. Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to Senior Leadership. From time to time the position may be required to attend certain trainings on software applications that the company is utilizing. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in business analysis and technical project management, preferably in the service industry. Scoro experience strongly preferred. Understanding of business analysis and project management principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with risk management principles and methodologies. Knowledge of construction processes and industry standards. Proficient in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Scoro, Power BI, or Tableau). Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, including pushing, pulling, and grasping. In Office Requirements: Flexible: Burlington, Providence or Remote East Coast Hours, typically 8 AM and 5PM with some flexibility to accommodate reasonable schedule shifts, met with an expectation that some 7 AM calls may be requested to meet critical deadlines
