Summary/Objective:
The Lead Business Analyst is accountable for ensuring that the software development process is driven by clear, well-understood business needs, facilitating communication, validation, and continuous improvement throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Essential Functions: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and challenges, and translate them into Chaney best practice processes and detailed, prioritized requirements. Analyze and validate requirements to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with business objectives. Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment. Contribute to system design by translating requirements into functional specifications and validating that proposed solutions meet user needs and business processes. Support development by clarifying requirements, addressing changes or ambiguities, and reviewing outputs from a business perspective. Develop and execute test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), and gather feedback to ensure solutions meet business expectations. Assist with deployment by supporting training, documentation, change management, and ensuring a smooth transition to production. Collect post-deployment feedback, identify enhancement opportunities, and collaborate with technical teams on updates and improvements. Monitor system performance and user satisfaction, and provide insights for continuous improvement and alignment with business goals. Other duties as assigned. Non-Essential Functions: Fill in as needed for colleagues.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Work Environment: Work time will be indoors/office. Noise level will be low. Physical Demands: Lift a maximum weight of 50 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Sit approximately 5-6 hours per day and walk or stand the other 2-3 hours per day; occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and climb stairs. Complete repetitive small motor activities using hands, fingers and reach with hand and arms ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 4+ years of experience working in a business analyst role 2+ years of leadership experience Experience working on IT or digital transformation projects. Special Skills: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a lead or senior role. Strong understanding of the SDLC and business analysis methodologies. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements. Experience with process improvement, change management, and user training. Certifications: Valid driver's license as occasional travel to other locations is required.
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or information technology related field; however any combination of training, education and experience which provides similar knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered.
Preferred Education: Masters' Degree
