Confer with company executives to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand and improve market presence, and promote business. Field and oversee the resolution of customer complaints regarding specialized freight logistics services. Provide staff with assistance in performing difficult or complicated duties related to the sale of freight services for special project, oversized, out of gauge ( OOG ), and breakbulk cargo transportation and determine competitive rates for these specialized services. Monitor sales staff performance to ensure that goals are met. Formulate pricing policies on services according to profitability requirements and manage local budget and allocate funds appropriately. Hire, train, and evaluate personnel. Analyze details of local sales territories to assess their growth potential and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales operations. Attend company meetings to exchange information and coordinate work activities with other MSC offices and foreign MSC agencies. Communicate with customs authorities, governmental agencies, customers and suppliers and serve as point of contact for questions regarding compliance with regulations, including the FMC guidelines. Plan and prepare work schedules and assign employees to specific duties. Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, customer service, preparation of import/export documentation, and reconciliation of cash receipts. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Business Development Analyst, Logistics Analyst, or related.
