Were currently hiring for our Before and After School Program for the 2025 2026 school year at Franklin Elementary School in North Franklin Brookfield, CT.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt POSITIONS OPEN: Substitutes, Assistants, Supervisors, and Directors PAY: $16.35 per hour (rate varies by role, qualifications, and experience)

Responsibilities of the Before & After-School Program Team:<BR> Lead engaging, hands-on activities based on our Healthy Kids Curriculum covering everything from fitness and STEAM to academics, arts & crafts, and more. And yes, homework support is part of the fun!<BR>Build a secure, lively, and nurturing space where children can learn and grow. Be a role model they can look up to each day. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians through the Playground App to share updates, photos, and those heartwarming moments. Stay compliant with all state childcare regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and the specific rules of our host school. Some positions may also include administrative responsibilities like tracking attendance, processing registration, and assisting with scheduling or staffing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You are at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with children under 13 is a plus, but not required. We value dedication and a willingness to learn! A healthcare provider has confirmed that you are medically fit to fulfill the job duties and are free from communicable illnesses, including TB. Youre positive, friendly, and great at building connections with children, families, and coworkers. Dependability and professionalism are key. Youre physically prepared to stay active able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and keep pace with energetic kids.
