Job Details
Responsibilities: As a Permanent Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, insolvency situations, and other related matters. 2. Handling all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including debtor-in-possession financing, cash collateral issues, and plan confirmation. 3. Providing legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under the bankruptcy code and related state laws. 4. Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues. 5. Conducting legal research and analysis on complex issues related to bankruptcy and creditors' rights law. 6. Participating in court hearings, mediations, and trials. 7. Collaborating with other team members to develop strategies for complex bankruptcy cases and creditors' rights issues. 8. Staying current with changes in bankruptcy and creditors' rights law and informing clients of these changes.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Permanent Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Associate Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the Missouri Bar. 3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a creditors' rights lawyer, with a strong focus on bankruptcy litigation and insolvency. 4. Extensive experience in handling Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. 5. Excellent legal research and writing skills. 6. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 8. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. 9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 10. Strong commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.
