We are looking to hire a research and drafting attorney with experience in civil litigation. Appellate experience is a plus; excellent research and drafting skills are a must. Prior experience as a law clerk is a plus. This is a great opportunity for someone with great research and drafting skills who does not want the pressure of litigation, trial or appeal work - or who wants the freedom to work from home or anywhere they happen to be, on their own hours (deadlines aside), as long as they are available and meeting needs of the firm. Attorney may also be handling litigation cases of their own, and co-counseiling trail work. How this position is integrated into the firm is open for discussion. This could be part time, contract work, or full time, depending on the individual, their skill level, and the needs of the firm. The firm has several very good trial and appellate attorneys on staff, or close at hand at all times. Because this is the case, the attorney taking this position may be working with other firms as well - including one of the top appellate law firms in Washington State. The purpose of this new position would be to support these lawyers in generating exemplary work product, and winning at all levels for our clients. We have a national reputation of distinction as trial lawyers, and it is our commitment to our clients and colleagues to maintain that level of competence with the next generation of trial lawyers. We represent people who are injured or harmed by corporations, the insurance industry, and government entities. Our trial practice focus is on personal injury, medical negligence, civil rights, and employment law; but we will engage on any case, anywhere, anytime if we believe that we can make a difference for a colleague or client. Salary and benefits will be dependent on experience, skill level, situational needs of the individual, and how the parties decide to structure the relationship.
