Position Overview Assist surgical team in preparing the operating room and instruments for general surgery procedures. Maintain sterile field and anticipate needs of surgeons and staff during operations. Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgical team efficiently and safely. Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure accuracy. Assist with room turnover and sterilization processes between cases.
