Join us! : Bank of America Merrill Lynch is seeking an Associate for the Real Estate Structured Finance Group in Newport Beach. Daily activities include financial modeling of commercial real estate properties, market research, credit evaluation of financing opportunities, and co-managing transaction closings with senior underwriters. Our Global Markets business offers sales and trading services, including research, to institutional clients across fixed-income, credit, currency, commodity, and equity businesses. Our product coverage includes securities and derivative products in the primary and secondary markets. The GMSP team is responsible for originating, structuring, and securitizing bonds backed by various types of collateral to provide liquidity and funding to financial institutions, public companies, and financial sponsors. We also provide secured asset-based financing, advise on asset and platform acquisitions and dispositions, and engage in opportunistic lending. The focus is on the origination, structuring, and distribution of Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), backed by Bank of America originated loans collateralized by all commercial real estate property types across the US and Canada. RESF also focuses on commercial mortgage balance sheet lending, commercial real estate-backed CLOs, and securities underwriting for institutional clients. Our team is based in New York, with additional offices in Charlotte, Newport Beach, Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago, and Austin. This role involves performing financial and statistical analyses, conducting research, and participating in client and deal teams. Key responsibilities include developing client presentations and supporting structuring and execution activities. Responsibilities : Analysis of commercial real estate properties and their markets Credit underwriting for CMBS and balance sheet facilities Preparing transaction presentations for senior management Facilitating and managing loan closings Origination pipeline administration Skills : Bachelor's Degree Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial real estate, mortgage brokerage, corporate finance, commercial or investment banking, or related fields Strong financial modeling skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel; Argus experience is a plus Excellent business writing skills with experience in creating sales or credit presentations Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring executive thinking and problem solving Collaborative team player with good communication skills Highly motivated and able to work independently Shift : 1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week : 40 Pay Range : $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually, based on experience, education, and skill set.
