We’re seeking an Associate Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional to join our TERI team! TERI changes the way the world sees, helps, and empowers individuals touched by special needs. The Associate Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional is responsible for the operation and direct supervision of one assigned residential group home to include staff scheduling, on-site staff training, quality assurance, resident programming, evaluation of program effectiveness, specific administrative functions and direct client care, when necessary, with intent to move into the QIDP position upon request. Your Role & Responsibilities – Provides direct care as needed to adults who with intellectual and developmental disabilities and who may engage in aggressive, assaultive acting-out behaviors that require approved Behavior Emergency Safety Training (BEST) techniques. Must possess the ability to safely perform BEST techniques. Ensures provision of an Active Treatment program for each individual. Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and agency policies and procedures relative to the operation of an ICF/DD-H residential facility. Evaluates the effectiveness and participates in the design of client programs. Coordinates individual ISP's to include assisting in the development of Skills Training Data Sheets, Quarterly Reports, Individual Service Plans, Strengths and Needs Assessments and Functional Assessments. Provides direct program delivery in accordance with the individual service plans. Reviews all training programs and provides on-going training of facility staff and volunteers. Coordinates work schedules for direct care staff and weekend activities. Conducts monthly chart audits and chart thinning in facilities. Oversees medical and/or dental care programs for clients, prepares related documentation, and coordinates with the facility R.N. and other medical personnel. Assists with medical and dental appointments. Distributes client medications and provides basic medical treatment, as necessary. Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Human Services, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field. One-year of related experience and/or training working with developmental disabilities individuals. Assures clients' rights, safety, welfare and health at all times.
