TheMedical Receptionistis responsible to the Center Administrator and provides appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answers incoming calls and performs other related clerical functions. This primary role provides front office support functions.

Location: 1989 W. Lumsden Rd. Brandon, FL

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm EST

Primary Responsibilities:

• Answers phones and schedules appointments
• Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
• Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
• Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, confirm appointments, and copy required documents
• Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
• Processes walk-in patients and visitors
• Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
• Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
• Performs all other related duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience

  Preferred Qualification:

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Previous medical office experience

  The salary range for this role is $16.00to $28.85per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
