About This Role:
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of plumbing experience, either in the field or in the office, who is eager to learn, challenge themselves, and grow their career!
What You'll Do:
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Help oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring tasks are progressing according to plan.
- Support quality checks and site visits to ensure work meets company and industry standards.
- Identify and report potential project risks or delays to the Project Manager.
- Communicate with clients as needed, ensuring questions and concerns are addressed professionally.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support smooth project execution.
- Help maintain accurate project records, including RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
- Ensure work aligns with relevant codes and safety standards.
- Assist in monitoring project costs and flagging discrepancies.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on progress and challenges.
- Prepare basic material takeoffs to support field teams with timely and accurate resource planning.
- Provide mark ups through Bluebeam for our field team to ensure that the "Markade Way" is retained amongst all of our projects.
What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years of plumbing experience either in the field or as an estimator or project manager
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.
- Knowledge of Hydronics, Process Piping, and Med Gas is preferred.
- Proficiency with project management software
- Proficiency with Bluebeam pdf editor
- Strong knowledge in plan ready, understanding and computing invert elevations, and dimensioning wall locations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
