Serve as faculty in the Department of Comprehensive Care.
Reports to the Chair of the Department of Comprehensive Care and is responsible for managing their groups patient care based on the TUSDM Standards of Care and best practices of private general dental practice.
Leads a clinic practice of approximately 70 third year and fourth year pre-doctoral students with hands-on responsibility for patient care, student learning and administrative/managerial oversight.
Instructs, evaluates and advises pre-doctoral students regarding comprehensive patient care.
Responsible for chair-side instruction in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Acts as a role model and mentor to students.
Teaches the skills of ethics, patient relationship management, patient communication, respect, professionalism and how to think like a dentist.
Communicates regularly and effectively with colleagues throughout the school ensures compliance with established protocols and standards and ensures the financial integrity of the practice.
Participates in the Basic Science Clinical Science Spiral Seminar Series.
Requirements:
DDS/DMD degree, dental license or eligibility for dental licensure in Massachusetts. Must have 2 years of dental experience either in private dental practice as a dentist and/ or dental education as faculty.
Candidate must have experience in post-graduate dentistry training as demonstrated by a certification, experience, or education
