We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee and coordinate clinical operations within a medical surgical centralized telemetry unit. This role involves planning, organizing, and supervising patient care services to ensure high-quality outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily clinical activities, including staff supervision and resource allocation. Develop and implement policies and procedures to support effective service delivery. Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families. Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among care providers and external agencies. Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources. Ensure compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements through ongoing monitoring. Assess and maintain adequate staffing levels and staff competency for safe equipment use. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities. Provide orientation, training, and continuing education for nursing staff. Assist in budget management, space planning, and resource recommendations. Collaborate with care coordination teams to identify and resolve patient throughput barriers and facilitate timely discharges. Monitor customer satisfaction and hospital functional capacity metrics. Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing BSN.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience related to the management area and at least 1 year of management or related leadership experience.
Requirements Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state. Strong leadership skills with knowledge of budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Familiarity with nurse practice acts and age-specific patient care needs. Physical ability to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and occasional heavy lifting.
