You will also be eligible to participate in AIG’s award-winning pro bono program.Your responsibilities will includeDrafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of transactions involving AIG’s extensive global real estate footprint, including leases and subleases, assignment and assumption agreements, cancellations and releases, commencement date agreements, parking agreements, settlement, financing and brokerage agreements, and letters of indemnificationDraft, review, and negotiate agreements relating to facilities management and maintenance, corporate events and travel, and corporate aircraftProvide advice and counsel to key decision makers on the Global Real Estate team regarding real estate transactions and agreements, and the day-to-day operations of leased facilitiesWhat you’ll need to succeedJ.D. degree from an accredited law school and in compliance with all relevant state bar licensing requirements, including the licensing requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located3+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience with a concentration on real estate transactionsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsA leader who collaborates effectively with colleagues at all levels of the Company, including executives, and across different functions to drive optimal outcomesStrong initiative and work ethic, including the ability to work well under pressure and independently, with demonstrated time and change management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentSound judgment and good business sense, including the ability to provide tailored, practical advice based on contextProficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plusAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
