About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Dean of IT and Chief Information Officer to serve as a strategic and transformative leader for its information technology organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision, direction, and operational excellence of all technology services, driving organizational change, and ensuring that IT systems, processes, and culture effectively support the institution's mission. This role involves modernizing and continuously improving IT operations, managing all IT and educational technology staff, overseeing budget development, and leading long- and short-term planning for academic and enterprise technology initiatives. The Assistant Dean of IT and CIO will also be tasked with maintaining a secure and forward-looking technology environment, with a focus on computer technology services and support, academic technology, enterprise applications, information security, and enterprise technology planning.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree being a plus, and a minimum of 7 years' progressive supervisory and management experience in IT. The role requires demonstrated technology leadership, experience in modernizing IT environments, and a strong background in managing enterprise systems, cloud administration, and network security. Higher education technology leadership experience is preferred, and experience within a law school is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading organizational change, strong strategic planning abilities, deep technical expertise in infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity frameworks, and excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen and experience with technology budgeting and procurement are also essential.
