Your Opportunity This position is responsible for producing quality packages per specifications. In addition, we offer opportunities for career growth and professional development. Core Responsibilities To properly arrange and place product into conveyor cavities. Rearrange messy looking drafts. Start and stop machine to control product flow. Aside ends and pieces. Shingle drafts properly for arranger. Straighten rows, etc. Aside ends and pieces, scraps, off color or off grade products. Form and stamp cartons, pack carton per specifications. Inspect packages while packing. Maintain production volume. Peel salami/pepperoni. Cut pepperoni/salamis off the rack. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred. Willingness to add to knowledge base and skillset. Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Work Environment & Physical Demands The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
