A&P Mechanic - Piston Aircraft Perkasie Airport (KCKZ), Perkasie PA
P-Factor is looking for a skilled Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are seeking a technician who is ready for a fast paced career in a rapidly growing maintenance and avionics shop. Our ideal candidate has a positive customer centric attitude and has general aviation experience working on piston powered aircraft including Piper, Beech, and Cessna single and light twin aircraft under 12,500 lbs gross weight.
Our technicians service a variety of customers ranging from owner operators to flight schools and partnerships. We run a fast paced environment focused on safety and efficiency and support a growing list of repeat customers. We are known as a shop that does it right the first time and strive to ensure the customers only return from an annual for an oil change or an upgrade before their next annual. Our technicians support our IAs and pilot/mechanic owners to perform routine maintenance, oil changes, annual inspections and avionics upgrades. Our technicians have direct exposure to our customers, based on their experience, so we expect our team members to project a confident and professional attitude.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform general troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer's instructions, FARs, Service Bulletins and FAA procedures * Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, job tickets and logbook entries * Follow all policies and procedures * Keep a clean and orderly work environment * Perform job duties in a safe manner * Perform other duties as assigned
*Job Requirements:* Technician will be required to provide their own hand tools and commonly used aviation tools (compression tester, timing kit, etc). The shop will provide specialized tools as needed.
*Minimum Qualifications*
* Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate * 2 or more years of piston-powered aircraft maintenance experience * Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer manuals and appropriate reference materials * Provide appropriate hand tools*Desired Qualifications* * FAA Inspection Authorization * Private pilot's license would be a plus but not required * Avionics troubleshooting experience *Compensation Range:* $30-35 per hour based on experience; paid vacation, uniform shirts provided
*Salary Range:* $30.00- $35.00/hr
