As an Animal Care Specialist, you'll be a vital team member responsible for the well-being of our animals. This role involves monitoring animal health, performing daily care tasks, and maintaining an environment that upholds our standards in animal welfare. This position is a first shift role, working Monday through Friday with rotating weekend and holiday work.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and evaluate the health of sows and piglets dailyMaintain accurate records for health and breeding progressEnsure a safe and clean environment, following biosecurity and animal welfare policiesHandle animals for feeding, movement, and general care tasksAssist with facility cleaning and routine maintenance as neededQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a physically demanding environment, with exposure to dust, manure, and noises,Availability for rotational weekend and holiday workNo personal pigs.
