This position is 100% onsite.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): -Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications. -Computer literacy. -Ability to identify common tools. -Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications. -Use a computer in a production environment. -Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing. -Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts). -Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, Winslow, 90-Degree Power Vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools. -Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes. -Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris). -Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting). -1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English. -Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations. -1+ aviation / technical school experience required. -9-10 weeks of training. -Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents. -Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: -Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications. -Apply sealant and to surface per specifications. -Install various aircraft system components such as panel installs. -Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts). -The training consists of a combination of instructor-led and web-based training. It includes classroom style and hands-on application to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: -Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), Crawling, Crouching (squatting). -Working around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g., circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise. -Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other). -Work in confined space and respirator usage. -Carrying/Lifting up to 10-35 pounds. -Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Standing, twisting at the waist and walking. -Ability to work in confined spaces. -Ability to qualify and use a respirator. -Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals. -Proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma/GED.
WORK HOURS: Full time. MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT. PER CLIENT: Candidates who do not have the flexibility to work all shifts or variable shifts should not apply for this opportunity. Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
