Job Summary Golden Years Homestead is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead and support our nursing team in providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. The ADON will assist the Director of Nursing Services in overseeing daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and promoting a resident-centered approach to care. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and directing nursing services operations in compliance with all regulatory standards. Support the Director of Nursing with staffing, scheduling, team development, and performance evaluations. Oversee and maintain nursing policies and procedures to ensure consistent, quality care delivery. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs and other organizational committees. Act as Compliance Officer to manage and monitor adherence to the Corporate Compliance Program. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate resident care and ensure continuity of services. Lead infection control initiatives, safety compliance, and maintain SDS documentation. Assist in team member orientation, ongoing education, and leadership development. Serve as Director of Nursing in their absence and participate in the on-call rotation. Promote a culture of safety, dignity, and respect for all residents and team members. Qualifications Education & Experience Current LPN licensure in the State of Indiana (required) Current RN licensure in the State of Indiana (preferred) BSN or MSN preferred 3–5 years of nursing experience in long-term care, senior housing, or hospital settings Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred Skills & Abilities Passion for serving older adults and enhancing quality of life in a residential care setting Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills Effective communication and problem-solving abilities Proficient in electronic medical records and basic office technology Working knowledge of federal and state regulations related to long-term care Physical & Working Conditions Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently Frequent walking, sitting, talking, and use of computer systems Must be able to work in varying temperatures and comply with infection control practices This role requires some evening/weekend availability and on-call responsibilities Why Join Us?
