One of our clients in the vibrant and sunny region of Southern California has enlisted our help to recruit a Physical Therapist Assistant for their expanding team. This hospital-based outpatient clinic is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment and is deeply committed to outstanding patient care. Responsibilities: Confers with physical therapy staff and others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment. Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress. Then, in person or through progress notes, provide the results to the physical therapist. Monitors operation of equipment and records use of equipment and administration of treatment. Transports patients to and from treatment areas, lifting and transferring them according to positioning requirements. Secures patients into or onto therapy equipment. Fits patients for orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches. Qualifications: Excellent customer service and patient care skills. Basic understanding of physical therapy and medical terminology. Associate degree or certification from a physical therapy Current CPR certification and BLS preferred.
