Accounting Assistant is responsible for a wide range of accounting functions in support of construction activities including processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly close reporting. Administrative help in the office for certain tasks is also an integral part of this position and the willingness to assist all departments as needed is crucial.
*JOB Responsibilities: * * Review, obtain approval for, and post all material and subcontractor invoices in Sage * Compile owners’ billings on AIA forms for lump sum, GMP/cost plus, and T&M projects in collaboration with Project Manager * Run, analyze, and summarize job analysis reports on a monthly basis to update management regarding budget projections for each project * Assists with other duties as required which may include licensing, permitting, forecasting, file maintenance, operational support, administrative support, bank reconciliations, monthly close process, quarterly and annual accounting tasks, etc.
*REQUIREMENTS:* * Degree in Accounting or related field preferred. * Two years of experience in construction accounting are preferred. * Experience with Sage 300 CRE or aptitude for learning new software. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel. * Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload. Proven experience meeting regular deadlines. * Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule: * 4 hour shift * Monday to Friday
