Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will operate all necessary equipment to properly package finished products, ensuring the efficient loading, unloading, storage, sampling, and transfer of raw materials and miscellaneous items. You will maintain and sanitize equipment, perform minor repairs, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

Operate all equipment necessary for packaging finished products.

Load, unload, store, sample, and transfer raw materials, finished products, and miscellaneous items.

Maintain equipment through proper lubrication and minor repairs; report malfunctions and needed repairs.

Maintain accurate and complete records.

Routinely sanitize and clean plant equipment and facilities.

Assist in training new packagers.

Perform material handling duties in accordance with OSHA and EPA standards.

Effectively communicate with team members.

Participate in safety, quality, and productivity improvement projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

6+ months of manufacturing experience.

6+ months of physical labor experience.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Previous packaging experience in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing plant.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and control system experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift operation.

Material handling.

RF scanning.

Machine operation.

General labor and production experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
