Responsibilities

The Women's Health NP / FNP will: Perform routine well-woman exams and use these exams to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer and breast abnormalities Provide family planning services, including prescribing and fitting contraceptive methods, offering counseling on family planning options, and educating women about birth control choices Provide prenatal care to pregnant women Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections Manage the physical and emotional changes that come with menopause Educate women about breast health and conduct breast exams to detect abnormalities Provide counseling and education on various health topics, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional well-being Prescribe medications, including contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, and medications for gynecological conditions Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: 1+ year of related work experience Bachelor's Degree Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license Solid charting and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Highly organized
