Job Summary :
Wellness Coordinator assists in planning wellness programs for residents, staff & community on and off campus.
Essential Functions :
Responsible for planning the ongoing development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of wellness activities.
Facilitates and/or manages daily programs including individual exercise programs.
Promotes and manages the music and memory program.
Assist with the evacuation of residents.
Manages the Healthcare expenses to be within approved budgeted amount.
Reconciles petty cash and credit card bills.
Plans activities for all residents of all abilities, 1-on-1 and small group
Other Duties :
Participates in departmental, all-staff and on-the-job in-service programs, as scheduled.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities :
Follows established safety procedures and precautions while performing tasks and during emergencies.
Reports all incidents/accidents, unsafe or hazardous conditions, and defective equipment to the Building Services Director immediately.
Assures that Infection Control and Universal Precaution practices are followed. Uses appropriate clothing/devices when performing tasks involving the handling of infectious waste and/or blood/body fluids.
Maintains confidentiality of resident information and honors resident personal and property rights.
Handles all interactions with residents and staff in a respectful and cordial manner.
Complies with all Hubbard Hill Estates work rules, policies and procedures.
Demonstrates dependability, punctuality, and professional appearance.
Job Specifications :
One-year experience in a health care setting required; long-term care preferred. Basic understanding of computer technology, including e-mail, MS Office products and Internet use required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Must be able to walk and move about throughout the workday.
Must be able to see and hear, with or without the use of prosthetics, to adequately meet the requirements of this position.
Must be available to be on-call and to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends or holidays when necessary.
Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset or hostile people.
May encounter frequent interruptions and exposure to infectious waste.
Must communicate with medical staff, nursing personnel and other internal and external contacts.
