Position Summary: Are you ready to put your creative talents on a mission that matters? BlackFish Federal is seeking a Visual Communications And Web Specialist to shape how the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment (ASD(S)) connects with the public and internal stakeholders. You'll lead digital design, web publishing, and branding support that fuels clarity, transparency, and professionalism across the DoD. As part of a small business with deep experience in secure communications and federal innovation, you'll have the freedom to create, collaborate, and advance your skills while supporting national priorities. Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance the ASD(S) public website, ensuring timely updates and performance Support graphic content for briefs, dashboards, and leadership messaging Ensure compliance with Section 508 and DoD standards for web accessibility Manage website content repositories and metadata tagging Collaborate with AandS Data Services to align on brand standards and publishing schedules Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or Web Design 3+ years of experience managing federal websites and digital communications Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Understanding of accessibility and usability standards (Section 508) SECRET clearance preferred Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Trusted Tester 508 certification Experience designing for ACQWEB or other public DoD portals Familiarity with Drupal, WordPress, or .mil CMS platforms Experience developing interactive dashboards or visual storyboards This document is not intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all job-related activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
