About the Role

The Company is seeking an experienced VP of HR to join their innovative, mission-driven team. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to the executive team, overseeing the full employee lifecycle and ensuring the development of a scalable, equitable, and mission-driven workplace culture. This role requires a balance of strategic foresight and operational execution, with a focus on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. The VP of HR will be responsible for driving workforce planning, organizational design, and implementing HR systems and processes that support a high-performance culture. They will also champion initiatives that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and design programs that promote psychological safety and an outstanding employee experience.

Applicants for the VP of HR position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Deep expertise in areas such as executive leadership development, people ops, L&D, total rewards, DEIB, and organizational design is essential. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading organizational change and scaling HR functions, as well as the ability to influence through effective relationships, data, and expertise. A strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence, the VP of HR will be an exceptional communicator, committed to inclusivity, transparency, and values-driven leadership. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly California labor law, and experience in managing compliance at various levels is also required.
