POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Community Hospital, University Health, is a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Chief Nurse Executive and the Community Hospital CEO. The CNO serves as an Officer of University Health and provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across all licensed areas of the facility. Responsibilities include promoting adherence to policies, ensuring high standards of patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing resource management, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence. The CNO also oversees the integration of programs, supervises nursing and other assigned staff, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in Nursing required. Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience, preferably as an ACNO or Nursing Director overseeing complex departments. LICENSURE Must hold and maintain an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
