A hospital is seeking a urologist for locum tenens coverage.Southern Kentucky has fun activities for you to enjoy while on assignment! Go to the water lands for boating, fishing, and swimming, or visit Lost River Cave or Mammoth Cave National Park!This busy, high-volume practice is seeking a skilled and dedicated MD or DO to provide urology coverage due to an upcoming retirement. The position requires board certification along with BLS, ACLS, ATLS, DEA certification, and Epic experience. The schedule includes clinic, inpatient, surgery, and rounding Monday through Thursday, with night call required Monday through Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM the next day. Coverage is needed for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weeks of October, November, and December, with potential for ongoing coverage into 2025. Typical cases include general urology treatment, diagnosis, and procedures such as stone treatment and removal, cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, TUNA, robotics, vasectomies, ureteroscopies, and TURPs. There is also exposure to colorectal, basic vascular, thoracic, endoscopy, C-sections, trauma, and critical care cases. Inpatient volume is 2-3 patients per day, with 10-12 procedures per OR shift and 28-30 clinic patients per shift.
