Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital is a 144-bed behavioral health facility providing a full continuum of inpatient services, including specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults. The facility offers behavioral health assessments 24/7 and programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues. An outpatient program utilizing group, family, and individual therapy is also available.

Position Summary
The Music Therapist is responsible for providing Music Therapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning. The therapist will use individual and group interventions to promote positive changes in patients' cognitive, social, emotional, or physical behaviors. Education on healthy coping skills and resources for post-discharge support is also part of the role. Services must adhere to current standards of practice.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy with Certification (MT-BC) or Bachelor's in Recreation Therapy with current CTRS
Experience: At least 1 year of related experience, preferably with psychiatric patient care and understanding of mental illness
