Job Details: We are seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about the intricacies of estate planning and administration, trust administration, and related tax issues. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to help them navigate complex legal matters, providing them with the peace of mind that their estates are secure and their loved ones are protected. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the estate planning and administration field.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of estate planning, trusts, and estate administration to our diverse client base. 2. Draft, review, and revise a wide variety of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives. 3. Represent clients in probate court proceedings and assist with the administration of estates and trusts. 4. Coordinate with tax professionals to ensure the effective tax planning and compliance of estates and trusts. 5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to trusts and estates, applying this knowledge to client matters and advising clients of any potential impacts. 6. Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with regular updates on their cases and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. 7. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop and implement strategies that best serve our clients' interests.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the IL State Bar. 3. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in estate planning and administration, with a focus on trusts. 4. In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations related to trusts and estates. 5. Excellent drafting and document review skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex legal issues. 7. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and effectively explain complex legal concepts. 8. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and upholding the integrity of the legal profession. 9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. 10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
