Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/25/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Perform all general, OB, and breast ultrasound procedures under Radiologist direction. - Operate ultrasound equipment competently and adjust technical factors for accurate imaging. - Differentiate accurately between normal and pathological findings. - Obtain and review patient history, lab results, and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy. - Position patients safely and comfortably for procedures, ensuring proper transducer selection. - Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as needed for diagnostic quality. - Accurately label images with patient and scan information. - Maintain records per regulatory requirements and input study information into the radiology information system. - Document billing codes for procedures to ensure accurate patient charges. - Identify and report equipment performance issues and participate in evaluating new equipment. - Analyze sonograms, synthesize findings with medical history, and communicate results to physicians. - Provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles. - Adhere to aseptic techniques and department/facility protocols. - Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and team members. - Maintain flexibility in scheduling and adaptability to changing demands. - Meet physical requirements (lifting, transferring, standing, etc.) and use personal protective equipment as needed. - Possess or obtain required certifications (RDMS Abdomen, RDMS OB/GYN, BLS) within designated timeframes. - Complete accredited sonography training program; no prior experience required.
