Essential Functions: Performs evaluation to determine respiratory care needs, and makes appropriate recommendations and changes in accordance with policy and protocol guidelines. Assesses effectiveness of treatment and accurately documents according to department and legal/regulatory standards. Completes and documents required education and competencies within designated timeframe. Maintains competency in areas of accountability. Accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and billing. Facilitates a smooth transition for the patient to appropriate referral services / the next point of service / home and provides education to patients and families as it relates to respiratory issues. Instructs and trains other respiratory care staff, nursing and other medical personnel and students regarding patient needs and respiratory care services. Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis. Examples of action: If staff provided services ending the week Sep 3, 2023 and Service Provider does not submit accurate timesheets no later Oct 18, 2023, Corewell Health shall not be?obligated to pay for the service provided during that timeframe. Supplier must take system action to implement agreed upon rate changes prior to the week the change becomes effective. It is highly recommended that timesheet?reconciliation and issue inquiry/correction is performed by the supplier prior to the 45 days.
