American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a variable shift Emergency Department contract, requiring at least 2 years of recent ED experience and multiple certifications.

Job Details

• Work in an Emergency Department of a teaching hospital, • Unit consists of 11 beds, including 3 trauma beds, a behavioral seclusion room, and 2 negative pressure rooms, • Care provided for patients from neonates to geriatrics, covering trauma, stroke, STEMI, behavioral health, and more, • Typical patient ratio is 1 RN to 4 patients, variable based on acuity, • Variable shifts including nights and midshifts (10am-10pm), 36 hours per week, • Weekend rotation required every other weekend, • No on-call responsibilities, • No floating required, • Uses FirstNet charting system; prior experience preferred but not required,

Job Requirements

• Active ME or Compact RN license required, • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required, • TNCC and NRP certifications preferred, • Experience with EKGs, IV starts, TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, Bipap initiation, suture removal, casting assistance, and ventilator management, • Charge RN experience preferred, please include details if applicable, • Flu vaccination required for assignments starting 9/30/2024 or later (medical exemptions reviewed with proper documentation),
