ATC Healthcare Services of Atlanta and Charleston is seeking a travel nurse RN Wound Care for a travel nursing job in Memphis, Tennessee.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty:Wound CareDiscipline:RNStart Date:07/14/2025Duration:13 weeks40 hours per weekShift:8 hours, daysEmployment Type:TravelPosition Requirements- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Tennessee- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross- Minimum of two years of paid experience as an RN in a similar settingJob Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and vascular wounds.- Develop individualized wound care plans based on clinical assessment, patient history, and provider orders.- Perform advanced wound care treatments such as debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, and application of specialized dressings.- Monitor wound healing progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, dietitians, physical therapists, and case managers to optimize wound healing.- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care techniques, infection prevention, nutrition, and skin integrity maintenance.- Identify and address factors contributing to impaired wound healing, such as poor nutrition, immobility, or comorbid conditions.- Maintain proper infection control practices and manage wound cultures or specimens as needed.- Provide input on pressure injury prevention strategies and implement facility-wide skin integrity initiatives.- Participate in quality improvement efforts and contribute to policy development for wound care practices.- Stay current with industry standards, wound care certifications, and product advancements to ensure evidence-based care.What is our culture?There are a few things we look for across all hires at ATC, regardless of role or team.First, we look for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and who will thrive in a culture that values teamwork, grit, and innovation.
