Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionateRegistered Nursefor thePediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role requires high-level clinical expertise in caring for critically ill infants and children in a fast-paced, acute care setting. You will be expected to deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to optimal health outcomes in a demanding clinical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to pediatric ICU patients
• Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and administer conscious sedation
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing interventions
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety procedures, and infection control
• Support family engagement and communication regarding patient care
• Follow unit protocols and support post-sedation recovery

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum2 years of recent Pediatric ICU experience
• Proficiency in:
  • Maternal and child nursing care
  • IV insertion and phlebotomy
  • Administration of conscious sedation
• ActiveNew York State RN License
• AHA BLSandACLS, PALScertifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Ability to adapt quickly in new clinical environments
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
