Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

* Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit

* Duration: 13 weeks

* 36 hours per week

* Shift: 12 hours, days, nights

* Employment Type: Travel

HIGHLIGHTS:

* Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. This is a hard requirement

* ACLS and BLS required (must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY)

* MS/Tele experience required

* Telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience preferred

* Day/Evening, 8/12 hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm

* Monday through Friday and every other weekend required and some holidays or to meet staffing needs

* Must have Basic Arrhythmia experience

* Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state

* Floating - Travelers are the first to float

* 1st Time travelers accepted

* License must be in hand at submittal

* Locals are not accepted

* Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

* Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start

* Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria

* Adult Exam requirements:

* 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

* No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

* Passing score of 80% or higher

* Pediatric Exam requirements:

* Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia

* Passing score of 80% or higher

* Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

* COVID-19 Vaccine: Unknown

* References: please remove all references, no references will be accepted

* Local Radius: 50 miles from the facility

* Modified Time: 10/8/2025 12:00:00 AM

* RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process. Generally, no more than 2 weeks off in a contract

* If the request is more than 1 week and is consecutive (no hours in the week), Vaya will add 1 week at the end of the contract

* Work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients in an academic medical and Level 1 Trauma Center

* 26-bed step down unit

* Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week - typically on a Monday

* Orientation is typically about one week

* Competency Renewal: Travelers need to have an active telemetry competency on file per calendar

* The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization
