RN-PACU Charleston South Carolina 36 hrs/week; 12 hr shifts – Start time varies from 0700-0900; 1 weekday call /week and one each 7p-7a and 7a-7p weekend call every 6 weeks. ​Description ========= Job Summary: To provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act. To apply professional nursing theory and practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Contacts: Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME 1. Perform patient assessments reflecting physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, cognitive needs and functional abilities through the systematic collection and review of patient-specific data and communicate assessments appropriately. 20% 2. Plans and prioritizes care based on the assessment, evaluates patient progress and revises care to attain expected outcomes. Include patient/family in planning care and evaluating programs and outcomes. 20% 3. Demonstrates clinical competencies in specific area of practice as described in departmental performance standards. 10% 4.
