Job Title: RN - Operating Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 5 years required License: NC RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred; CNOR preferred but not required Must-Have: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operating room setting Description: Licensed for 457 beds. Level 3 Trauma center. Stroke Center of Excellence. Bariatric Center of Excellence. Chest Pain Center. Average of 50 cases per day. Surgery specialties include Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics. Service line includes Clinical Supervisors, Charge nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers. Unit specific equipment includes typical OR equipment. No floating required. Weekend rotation: every other weekend. Call required: average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time. Holidays: Travelers will work 75% of holidays. RTO requires manager approval. Schedule cycle is every 6 weeks. Scrub color is provided. Department culture is focused on the Operating Room environment.
