Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: In-state RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be willing to take charge when asked. First-timers accepted with at least 1.5 years of experience. Previous charge experience preferred. Description: The position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. Candidates must have experience dealing with adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include managing patients with conditions such as thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, weakness, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, and renal failure. Nurses will be expected to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. Candidates must work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays. The staffing ratio is 1:5/6. All required certifications must be in hand prior to submission. Candidates without an in-state license or required certifications will not be considered.
