Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Facility: University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton
Location: 219 S Washington St, Easton, MD 21601
Unit: 3 Multi-Specialty Care Unit (30-bed MS/Tele)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 08/11/2025
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00–07:30)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Job Overview

Seeking anMS/Tele RN for a fast-paced observation unit with diverse adult/geriatric patients. Ideal candidates have strong telemetry skills and experience managing acute medical conditions with quick turnover. First-time travelers accepted.

Requirements & Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Active MD RN or Compact License
• BLS (AHA)
• Preferred: ACLS, CPI (can obtain on-site)

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years MS/Tele experience (strong 1-year candidates considered)
• Required Skills:
  • Telemetry monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Chest tube, tracheostomy, and wound vac management
  • Heparin protocols, blood product administration
• Epic charting proficiency (required)

Unit Details

• Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• Common Diagnoses:
  • Chest pain, abdominal pain, UTI, renal failure, ortho/trauma
  • Peritoneal dialysis (nurses assist with clamping/unclamping)
• Equipment: B-Braun IV pumps, telemetry monitors
