Infection Prevention (IP) Control Nurse – RN ? Sitka, AK 99835

✅ Required Credentials RN license (Full, unrestricted – Alaska or compact state)
Agency staff must have an active Alaska license.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
Required at start or within 6 months if eligible sooner
BLS – Current (within 3 months of hire, then biannually)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Microbiology, Epidemiology, or related field
Preferred : Master’s degree (MPH, MSN), CPHQ
? Experience Required 3+ years of acute care / infection control OR data collection/performance improvement/risk management
Proficiency with basic statistics & epidemiological principles
Long-Term Care IPC experience is a plus
? Job Duties Lead surveillance, analysis, and reporting of HAIs and reportable infections
Develop and enforce infection control policies and procedures in line with: CDC, OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission, FDA, APIC
Provide ongoing education to staff, patients, families, and community
Submit data to NHSN and other agencies
Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to set goals
Serve as a liaison across departments and co-chair the IPC committee
Travel required within SEARHC network for on-site assessments & training

Comfortable with data analysis , policy writing, and compliance reporting
