**Position Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Nurse to join our team working in a 10-bed Acute Rehab Unit specializing in neurological and rehabilitation care. This position is focused on providing exceptional care to patients recovering from various diagnoses including neuro rehabilitation, cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), spine injuries, and orthopedic conditions.

**Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute rehabilitation environment. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals. - Contribute to a culture of support and education for students and new hires. - Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.

**Shift Details:** - 12-hour night shift assignments (7 PM - 7 AM) with an every-other-weekend requirement. - Orientation sessions are held biweekly on Mondays. - Initial assignment dates are September 8 and September 22.

**Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty (med/surg or rehab nursing). - Active Virginia or Compact Licensure is required at the time of submission. - BLS certification is mandatory; CRRN certification is highly preferred. - Experience with Cerner electronic health records is highly preferred. - Previous travel nursing experience is required.

**Additional Requirements:** - Candidates must have limited RTO (Requested Time Off) included in their submission packet.
